Preparing For A Road Trip

A road trip is a great way to see the country. Prior to embarking on your adventure there are a few things you should consider.

Begin with simple car maintenance:

  • Tune up and change the oil.
  • Watch for terminal corrosion on the battery and make sure all connections are clean and tight.
  • Ask your technician to test your battery. This type of test can be performed quickly by most automotive service centers.
  • If the car is difficult to start, have the vehicle's electrical system checked, and if any component is marginal, it's probably time to get a replacement component.

Next, Make sure you have an Emergency Kit on board

  1. Assortment of Combination Wrenches, Screwdrivers, and Pliers

  3. Roadside Flares / Battery Operated Roadside Marker Lights
  4. First Aid Kit
